Summary: Only a twelve degree window of comfort for 40 bucks.

Comment: These gloves only work for me for about the highest twelve degrees of "glove riding" temperatures. I'd say between 33 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit. If it's any colder out, I lose feeling in my middle finger. And that's when I put them on while I'm still at home. I won't blame them for overheating, because then it's fine to just remove them, but I recommend looking elsewhere if you commute via bike in a cold weather city or if you're prone to winter joyrides. These are too expensive for the amount of help they've offered me. I've felt better with a cheap ($11) pair of neoprene fishing gloves. After riding with them, my hands might smell like feet, but at least I can still move them. These 40 dollar Pearl Izumis? Not so much.
Summary: Best in a narrow temperature range

Comment: I stopped by a local bike shop to buy these on a cold, windy fall day. Maybe my hands were too cold to begin with, but the gloves didn't seem to help all that much. When the weather warmed back up the following weekend, the gloves seemed too warm. Also, there's a gel pad at the base of the fingers, which took some getting used to. They're certainly more comfortable than nothing at all, but I wish I'd kept looking.
